Constant growth in technology-based products and services push implementations of new management approaches like Agile and Scrum ( one of most developed and popular Agile framework). Research and practice show that companies very often face challenges or even sometimes fail to implement these new management practises. Many studies show that key reasons behind are:

  1. Lack of Agile skills and knowledge

  2. Misuse of Scrum ceremonies

  3. Unefficient collaboration with stakeholders

  4. Lack of team self-organization

REKOMENDACIJA | RECOMMENDATION

Research results revealed that mostly occurring challenges are misuse of Scrum ceremonies due to team overload and unefficient collaboration with stakeholders. Product Owner should be very active in the continuous coach of stakeholders including team members as well as in priorities management which will enable overcome challenges. Agile implementation can be seen as organizational change project which success strongly depends on:

  1. Product Owner’s and Scrum Master’s contribution in stakeholders management as (joint efforts)

  2. Well established prioritization and backlog control mechanism allow to utilize Scrum ceremonies properly

  3. Ensure Agile core values knowledge on enterprise level via active leadership and active sponsorship of Agile/Scrum method benefits , not in separate departments only – that would allow to structure knowledge base and ease cross-functional collaboration
